Use the whole container of boiling water, and after a little while you can check to see if the clog is still there!
3. Use a Plunger
A plunger may be a surprising but effective method for clearing any drain in the house, including the shower. Plungers are a must-have tool for every home! When the first two clog-fighting techniques don’t do the trick, it’s time to bring out the plunger.
First, remove the drain cover with a screw driver. Then, place the plunger fully over the drain, just like you do with the toilet. Once it’s securely latched on to the tub or floor, run water to cover the lip of the plunger – then start plunging. Move it up and down rapidly to dislodge the clog and force it along the pipe. Just make sure the clog is gone before you replace the drain cover.
